SAFARI DESCRIPTIONS AND PRICING PLEASE NOTE:

Transportation is not included between Cairo and Bahariya (except where specifically noted). Please contact us and we can either direct you to the bus station at the proper times (about a 4.5 hour trip @ 40 LE per person {=ca $6 p/p}), or provide private transportation ($100 one-way) in a private microbus that can seat up to 15 people. BB=Bed & Breakfast; HB=Breakfast and either lunch or dinner; FB=3 meals.

 

1) QUICK WHITE DESERT

DAY 1   Lunch at Bedouin Castle 12pm. Safari: Black Desert, Crystal Mt., Agabat, Flower Desert, White Desert. Bedouin camping

DAY 2   Return to Bahariya. Lunch/shower at the Bedouin Castle.

2) CLASSIC WHITE DESERT

DAY 1   Lunch at Bedouin Castle. Local tour of the Bahariya oasis (includes hot springs and ethnic museum). Overnight: Bedouin Castle (FB).

DAY 2  Antiquities tour 8 – 10 am. Safari: Black Desert, lunch at el-Haiz (fresh, cold water small pool), Crystal Mt., Agabat, Roman springs, Flower                          desert. Bedouin camping: White Desert.

DAY 3   Return to Bahariya. Lunch/shower at Bedouin Castle.

3) WHITE AND WESTERN DESERT

DAY 1 Lunch at Bedouin Castle. Afternoon local tour of the Bahariya oasis. Overnight: Bedouin Castle (FB).

DAY 2 White Desert Safari: Black Desert, lunch at el-Haiz (freshwater pool), Crystal Mt., off-road to Agabat, Roman springs, Flower desert. Bedouin                   camping: White Desert.

DAY 3 Western Desert safari: El-Ghanour, Frigate Valley, Panorama Peak, lunch, Flower deserts. Return to Bahariya. Overnight Bedouin Castle (HB)

DAY 4 Bahariya Antiquities tour 9 am. Lunch Bedouin Castle.

4) MARSA MATROUH, SIWA, BAHARIYA, WHITE DESERT

DAY 1 Cairo pick-up 7am. Al Alamein War Museum 11 am. Lunch. Arrive Siwa 5pm. Overnight Ghaliet Hotel (Bedouin spa services available).

DAY 2 Gebel Mouta (necropolis), Amun/Oracle temple, Cleopatra baths. Lunch. Afternoon: Great Sand Sea safari. Overnight: Ghaliet Hotel.

DAY 3 Leave for Bahariya at 8am. Lunch along the way. Arrive Bedouin Castle approx 4pm. Evening visit to hot springs. Overnight Bedouin Castle (HB).

DAY 4 Bahariya antiquities tour. White Desert Safari (same as program #2).

DAY 5 Return to Bahariya. Lunch at Bedouin Castle. OPTION: Extra day in Siwa for Bedouin spa services

5) WHITE DESERT AND WADI HITTAN  (outdoor dinosaur museum)

DAY 1  Cairo pick-up 8:30 am. Kom Aushim museum (Fayoum Portraits), Wadi Rayan lake/waterfall (and lunch). Wadi Hittan museum and camping.

DAY 2  Off-road ½ way to the Bahariya oasis. Lunch and overnight at Bedouin Castle (FB). Evening hot springs.

DAY 3  Local oasis tour. Black Desert, lunch at el-Haiz. Crystal Mt., Agabat, Flower Desert, White Desert Bedouin camping.

DAY 4  Return to Bahariya. Lunch at Bedouin Castle. Return to Cairo

6) WHITE DESERT AND DJARA CAVE (stalactites and stalagmites).

DAY 1  Lunch at Bedouin Castle. Local tour of oasis. Overnight at the Bedouin Castle (FB).

DAY 2  Oasis antiquities tour. White Desert Safari (total). Camping White Desert.

DAY 3  Bir Sirrw, Acacia tree, Watermelon valley (huge black round geoids), Djara Cave. Camping: Djara Cave.

DAY 4  Djara Cave, wild sand dune riding back to Bahariya. Picnic lunch in desert. Overnight Bedouin Castle (HB).

DAY 5  Breakfast at the Bedouin Castl.e

DAY 3  Safari: Western Desert, Obeiyed cave, Flower Desert, Frigate Valley, Western Desert camping.

DAY 4  Safari: New White Desert, Hawass springs, Bir Sirrw (lunch), Crystal Mt., Overnight Bedouin Castle (HB).

Day 5  Bahariya antiquities tour. Lunch Bedouin Castle

8) THE OASES CIRCLE (Cairo to Luxor)

DAY 2  Bahariya antiquities tour. Safari: Black Desert. Lunch at el-Haiz (cool spring/pool), Crystal Mt., Agabat, Flower Desert, White Desert camping.

DAY 3  White Desert to Dakhla oasis. Deir el-Haggar temple (Amun, Mut, Khonsu, Set), Overnight Bedawiya hotel (HB).

DAY 4  Qasr Dakhla tour (1000 yr-old Bedouin town). Beshendi (ancient Egyptian and Sheikh tomb), Hibis temple. Overnight Kharga hotel (HB).

DAY 5  Bagawat (4th c AD Christian necropolis), Qasr Ghuieta (ancient Egyptian fortress/temple), Luxor (via Baris). Luxor hotel not included

. NOTE: Air-conditioners canNOT be used while jeeps are driving in the sand as the engines need all the power available. If the guest would like jeeps with A/C on flat roads, then a 200 LE surcharge per day will be applied.
